It’s a legit risk when filling gas cans in the bed of a truck. When they say to set them on the ground first, there’s a reason for that.

One of my favorite Youtube channels is Hoovie’s Garage, where he buys depreciated high end cars like this and then lives with them. Sometimes they’re okay, but usually it’s a disaster and I’m drawn to the videos in much the same way that people slow down to look at car crashes.

My opinion on that is that reducing weight (properly) requires engineering effort to accomplish, so Colin Chapman was “adding” something by lightening it.  As opposed to, for example, me in my garage with a sawzall.

I like how the accessory drive is on the rear of the block. But something is driving that from the crankshaft. I’ll bet that component is delicate.
