I agree that dude sells out for little or nothing - it’s just, with the traitor line, you have to give him an asterisk for not being in the 100% “nothing to see here, move along” crowd that is the current GOP.

Just a friendly reminder that we had 33 hearings into Benghazi and millions of dollars spent over several years which turned up nothing. Now they’re circling the wagons to protect foreign intervention into our election (which all intelligence agencies agree happened). Republican hypocrisy knows no bounds.
Votes against the Iraq War (and even more so the Patriot Act) are important to me not because history has proven them right, but because it was glaringly obvious even at the time that that those were terrible decisions and that most politicians just didn’t have the nerve to go against the herd in a post-9/11 world.…
It’s even worse than that. Not only do the “poorest and most vulnerable” not have any worth in this system, but for quite a few years now the GOP is pretty clear that they don’t even give a fuck about the actual middle class, either. At this point, they are only working for the wealthy.
Businesses are run with only the bottom line and enrichment of investors/stockholders in mind.
Putting everything aside, hatred of Trump, etc., this statement just bothers me to the core:
“I promised the American people I would produce results, and apply my ‘ahead of schedule, under budget’ mentality to the government.”
“You have attracted people who are determined that ideology is more important than facts.”
I cannot get over how much Hannity talks over Koppel— a well-respected, white, male TV journalist. Like, if he’s willing to talk over Ted Freakin’ Koppel...imagine any black woman who has ever had the misfortune of interacting with Hannity.
“You have attracted people who are determined that ideology is more important than facts.”
At least Lindsey Graham has the ball to wear his hate on his sleeve and get tax cuts for the rich,
Man, Paul Ryan is so close to getting his “fuck the poor, cut taxes on the rich” agenda pushed through, and now he is stumbling at the one yard line.
I think you’re well-meaning and support your efforts to get women to champion and protect themselves....and I’m glad you clarified that you’re “talking about supporting them so they feel less afraid/alone when and if they do”, or that perpetrators are the only ones that should feel shame.
I saw this on People’s website (don’t judge me) and sure enough, after like the first 5 comments there was one lady saying “this is not a marriage, they can’t consummate it because marriage is between a man and a woman”.
I know you mean well, but as a survivor I can say that “trying your damndest to get them to reconsider” is not helpful. Women are already held responsible for their own rape, and you want to make them responsible for everyone else’s as well. And I’m not even going to get into the further trauma of reporting
Nova Scotian here. I work with newcomers to Canada and run an English conversation group. I recently did an exercise on rules for alphabetizing and to make it more relevant I added a section on “Mc” and “Mac” ... :)
What? Are we just going to pretend there’s no Acadians now? The Boudreaus and Aucoins and Leblancs would like a word...
I know a university professor in Nova Scotia and she regularly complains it’s a huge pain in the ass alphabetizing papers and assignments because 1/3 of the students have names that start with Mac and Mc.
fuuuuuuuuuuuuckk
I’m sorry that tweet is hilarious.
