I can recommend this. I called my legislators three times this week. It felt good. Apparently phone calls make more of an impression than paper letters (and obviously much more than emails).

I noticed this too - my local march had an inter-sectional focus, as the main speakers were Latina, Muslim, American Indian, and African immigrant. It was really wonderful.

I think my favorite moment during the march was listening to the man behind me very matter of factly explaining to his 7- or 8-year-old son that they were marching because a lot of people discriminate against women just because they’re women and one of those people is our new president and it’s important to speak out…

It was awesome, and even the Sister Marches worked really hard to keep the inter-sectional focus that the Washington March was so committed to.
