I am NOT saying this in defense of them or their ideas about female autonomy (I think they’re all awful), but they do seem to have backed off on the whole “let me define rape rape for you” thing. I’m pretty sure they don’t listen to any women because they actually care about their intellectual merit. But I suspect

I just continue to be surprised that he hired Bannon and Kellyanne Conway at the same time—as well as dismayed (for strategic reasons) that Conway seems to taken charge of his messaging, rather than Bannon.

I was living in France about ten years ago when they were going to ban head scarves from public schools. At least, in that case, they could *try* to defend the ban based on secularism in schools. . . . .but then they did get into a little bit of trouble when people brought up they weren’t banning crosses or yarmulkes.

Not trying to diss her attorney here, but the outcome may have been very different if she’d had a good legal team.

Agreed. I’m very curious to see what Moira Walley-Beckett does with it—she’s a very “dark” writer. Along with Breaking Bad, her other stand alone series, Flesh & Bone, was Fucked Up. Did anyone see it?

LOL, you also didn’t say anything about the link which references quotes from the cunt’s book (still)

LOL. I didn’t say anything about my feelings.

I do think the polls are tightening somewhat. . . .looks like a trend to about -3 points for Clinton (compared to a few weeks ago).

It makes me sick that this woman, her athleticism, and her victories are under international scrutiny for a natural difference that may or may not confer an athletic advantage.

Yes! All of this. . . . .personally, I hate porn and have had super negative experiences with it. But, imagine this: we teach young men and women about the negative AND positive aspects of porn and sexuality. Porn can be objectifying to women. It can make some women feel bad and/or isolated. It can also be something

I’m more concerned about real education and a useful conversation on an important and hugely unresolved topic in our society

Indeed. . . .And I am sure that porn shaming young men just leads to fewer conversations about aspects of porn (and its consumption) that are healthy or unhealthy, which likely results in unhealthier attitudes/behaviors surrounding porn.

Every one of your comments is spot-on, ElephantShoe2. What you’ve hit on so eloquently is that this is pure propaganda—taking the most extreme scenario and using it as the basis of an argument.

No one is arguing that Elizabeth Smart shouldn’t have the right to share her experience.

Hey. . . .I didn’t mean to be rude to you—and I apologize if I was. I did take your response as kind of rude—but I believe you when you say it wasn’t intended that way.

Ahhhhhhhh, so you are dumb AND a misogynist. Double threat!

Goodness, there is no reason for you to be rude.

Kinja garbled my sentence. . .

Whoah, settle down there buddy. I, personally, didn’t express any political support for Clinton or her policies.
