Alaskan here. One of the most horrifying aspects of this is that he is a judge in Nome. . . . . .There is a good probability that many of the victims’ whose cases came before him were Alaska Native. The population of Nome is 50% Alaska Native. Alaska Native girls and women experience extreme levels of sexual violence.

I’m seriously baffled. Particularly by the pedantic tone.

Do you know the meanings of words?

Thank you!

I think you missed my point. I said I am sure it was not illegal but, rather, that it is shitty. I guess you’re trying to make a distinction between my having said, “I’m sure he’s signed disclosures. . . . .” and whether or not it would have been legal even in the absence of such a disclosure? I’m well aware that it

Yes, I realize that. Which is why I said that I was sure it was not illegal.

I think it’s freaking weird that they are airing episodes re: Lamar Odom’s relationship w/ Khloe when Lamar Odom appears to have brain damage and is unlikely to be able to give his consent. I mean, I’m not implying this is illegal, I’m sure he’s signed contracts and all that. I’m just saying it’s shitty.

From the interview. . . .

I want to be clear that I completely agree. Economically disadvantaged people are violently targeted, as are sex workers, and those who are addicted to drugs—by all manner of people who are not so vulnerable. I completely 100% agree that all individuals deserve our protection—and that we need to do real work to

Would you mind sharing your background? Where you are from?

One thing that keeps coming up for me as I read the victims’ accounts: how many of them were stopped for *absolutely* no reason and how *none* of them really identify the initial stop itself as being outside the range of normal.

I wonder which specific counts they found him guilty of? Watching the video, they declared “guilty” on some counts of 1st degree rape (whatever that is) and not-guilty on other charges w/ the same categorization. . . . .same with many of the other charges. . . . .did some of the women not get their own specific

She comes off as really ethically challenged and also vain. Not the best qualities for a good writer, let alone teacher. I can’t believe she actually teaches. Yikes.

A fact for which I am EXTREMELY thankful. Apart from breitbart.com and the ilk, I have rarely come across a “research journalist” who was so clearly biased—ethically compromised—and just disdainful of their own readers.

NO sense . . .I like how he kept referencing the first Gulf War. I was cheering for Steve Inskeep when he pointed out that there was an actual army to fight in the first Gulf War, as opposed to the situation w/ ISIS. I was also pleased to hear Inskeep not bowing down on the question of civilian casualties. Ted Cruz

Ugh. On the good side though, you sound like a really great, intuitive, understanding parent.

It was terrifying. He could not explain how he was going to avoid untold civilian causalities in his quest to step up bombing against ISIS.

It’s mesmerizing.

What’s irksome to me is that the GOP is seizing on the San Bernadino shootings to rile up fear + bigotry—and meanwhile, as a group, displayed mostly radio silence after the PP shooting.

Yeah. . . . .very unfortunate. It’s just hilarious (horrifying) that someone is gabbing on about their military experience in the same breath as threatening insurrection against the U.S. government.
