You mean what I started talking about with my original comment in the first fucking place?

My primary problem is that matching increases to inflation rates makes owners eat the difference in tax increases on properties. This could quickly make renting unsustainable for owners (especially those in tax heavy markets).

I audibly cackled at the first excerpt. Because I’ve found most of her snark funny. Sure she’s still a member of the 1%, but at least she’s trying to do something with some of that money. I say when it’s time to eat the rich, we give this one a pass. I’m confident she can learn to live with less.

Cool, I’ll just exercise my own when some asshole pulls them out then. The whole point of this BS Kinja system is being able to keep assholes who have nothing to contribute from swarming comment sections. I would think BS like “It’s obvious you rent” would qualify as trolling with nothing useful to add to the

FFS, not everyone who owns a home rents it to someone else. The majority of home owners only own one home, which they live in. Striking a blow to them, to stick it to a moneyed minority is a strange hill to die on.

It’s really sad that none of his previous twisted shit was enough to get everyone on the bandwagon. What a sorry statement on the morality of so many. What a terrible indictment on our intelligence as a nation, that this will be clear enough to make the point for voters.

Even better, Santorum was on AC last night trying to say Trump didn’t say what he just read from the “transcript” the Whitehouse itself provided.

“Don’t believe what your eyes can see.”

Who wants to put money on it that the meeting with Putin sans translators really did have translators, and that transcript is in there?

Please dismiss your trolls.

Like I said; while I mostly agree with this stance, it has flaws. Mainly that it’s going to take a while to get there. If we decide to crash into something like that, it’s going to hurt exponentially more working Americans than moneyed elites. I’m not willing to hit folks barely holding onto their homes that hard,

The increasing costs can’t solely be chalked up to property taxes though.

For example, Amazon contributed directly to increasing market rates in Seattle buy negotiating highly reduced rates for their employees with property managers. The difference in cost was added to the rent for other units so owners didn’t lose

Wow, this whole comment is an amazing display of cognitive dissonance playing out in real time.

You start with an unfounded claim solely from your opinion that it’s coming from black market products. You reduce the known cases within the state to one that “you know of” to cast them as outliers. (I found 3 illnesses

*cringes at the thought of Mittens part deux*

Well he’s a tribal police officer (I believe?). Still a risk to go on blast like that, but my understanding is he’s looking at being out of work for quite some time anyway.

We do that here with subsidized housing. We also chain that income scale to the median income of the area. So anywhere from 30-60% of the median local income. Which sounds great in practice. Unfortunately, that median is somewhere upwards of $80,000 for a family of three (last time I checked it was 86,000 and change).

Not true. People in Washington smoking legal THC vapes are getting sick.

The fact that that the overwhelming majority of illnesses is coming from THC vapes in states with no legal means of obtaining THC is a huge tell with this story.

This argument had weight, until we started to see people get sick in Washington. People who had bought their Legal THC vape cartridges at our highly regulated

On the subject of rent control; I’m for it as a concept. Something needs to be done to prevent these huge hikes in rental rates based on “market rates” and “maintenance costs”. The requirements to rent are also becoming ridiculous. A typical Seattle metro area scenario:

Rent (2 bdr/1 ba) $1,600 (yes, it can be found

Whoa, I missed this on my first reading.

Or a new job. The low skill level of political trolling is a strong indication it’s not their field.

What’s even more appalling and gobsmacking is that he invited, asked for, begged for foreign interference only one day, ONE DAY, after Robert Mueller, in virtually his only volunteered testimony before Congress, stated unequivocally that soliciting foreign election assistance was a crime.

Exactly, and I’ve already
