Ok, this just illustrates a fundamental misunderstanding of what UBI is, and how it’s supposed to work.

Holy shit that’s ridiculous even by Seattle standards. I’m really quite done with it in King county. Once the foot ferry fleet is beefed up with the Kingston run, I’m jumping back over to Kitsap. People here can’t drive for shit anyways.
That’s not how inflation works. Inflation is an effect of things like the cost of production increasing, or changing interest rates. Giving people more money doesn’t effect either of those things. Money doesn’t loose value because more people have it.
Oh yeah, that sweet 650$ a month with 109$ food stamp payday. You’re probably one of those special specimens who believe that song and dance about welfare queens eating steak and lobster on the government dime too.
Look, I retracted my slam 5 times. As for paying more fees to the banking industry and less to candidates, do what you want with your cash. Just because people are doing it, doesn’t make it smarter.
That is relevant to her story and her perception. If she wishes to change that perception its up to her and her campaign to do that.
For the Berners
The site I was thinking of (crowdpac) is already gone. Other reasons I don’t use crowd funding for donations is elsewhere in the thread.
Why give my money to ActBlue for a 4% processing fee, to have them give it to campaign of choice, who then pays another processing fee to get bundled donations from the PAC? Call me crazy, but I want my candidates to get .96$ to my dollar instead of .92$ or less.
Thanks, let the greys who are blowing me up know. Getting tired off dismissing rants.

I didn’t say labor would be unnecessary, but that the population would exceed demand.
She’s from Oklahoma, and went to college in Texas. Simply teaching at Harvard for a few years, and moving to the east coast doesn’t erase that. Calling her an east coast academic is how the right wing attempts to cast her as an outsider to the very places she came from. Let’s not fall into the habit of using their talk…
Especially when they’re known to work together quite often. I would have called them friends before this election cycle. The hate she’s getting from some of the Berners is weird.
They either seem to want to paint her as “Bernie lite” or subscribe to an idea that they’re really working together behind the scenes, and…
Yang has a point. We’re coming up on a tipping point with automation and AI technology. Pretty soon, only a fraction of our population will be required to work. What good is a job guarantee then? Do we just create busy work for them like communist Russia used to do?
Not to mention it’s kinda ableist. Not everyone is…
Highly likely. I’ve already been told by the resident Biden stan in the greys that the whole article is really a glowing review of Warren.
*eye roll*
I’m pretty sure the purpose of PAC’s is circumventing electoral laws.
The only descriptors I’ve seen attributed to Warren’s style in any piece is “wonkiness” and praises for her “personal touch” on the campaign trail.
I’m sure nobodies trying to take shots at her for personal calls to small donors, or waiting hours after campaign stops just so all her supporters can take selfies with…
No matter what if you donate online rather than sending a check (which I’m guessing no one here does), the campaign has to pay processing fees on your payment.
And in the case of most crowdfunding sites, it’s percentage based. That’s a lot of money off the top.
