My significant other is very active on Facebook (unfortunately) and this happens all the time: Report actual hate speech and somehow it doesn’t violate their policy, but talk back to someone making actual hate speech and hurt their feelings... Facebook jail for you! I haven’t done anything to get temporarily shut

she has really bad chronic fatigue syndrome...her just passing the fuck out is the least surprising part of the whole thing

I didn’t miss your point, I criticised it as irrational.

Star Citizen continues to be a scam.

I mean, as much as I’ve been warning folks to temper their expectations, considering Bethesda’s track record, it’s not like I genuinely want it to be bad.

A lot of good devs will have poured their hours upon hours into this.

I want it to be good as much as anyone, even if I don’t plan on purchasing it for my own varied

Oh, you’ve got people here to help you overthrow capitalism!

Same. I’ve started reading headlines like this with more optimism, though. To me, it reads like “Starfield has performance issues on the Nintendo Switch (the one that gets first-party patching support, so it will almost certainly have decent performance in the future)“

But that’s capitalist brain rot: they only care about what will make them more money TODAY.

I have trouble with auditory processing - and honestly, with most modern media, speech can be hard to pick out of the noise even for folks who don’t.

Subtitles at minimum are an absolute necessity, especially ones that are easily readable, which often can mean backgrounds, different fonts, etc..

(Also I’m getting old

To be honest, the large font probably is one of the hardest options to implement... which just makes the lack of the other, more easily implemented options more glaring.

It’s genuinely hard to have your UI/UX handle multiple font sizes smoothly.

I’m sorry, I know that most gaming outlets have entirely given themselves over to being the cheap marketing arms of the publishers, too terrified to give criticism or less than stellar reviews due to the ever present threat of gasp losing early review copy access, but do we really need to try and keep browbeating

Most accessibility options are a very, very tiny cost, and take very little dev time.

I mean honestly I’m ready to overthrow capitalism entirely but I’m gonna need more people with me to do that.

But yes, we as a working class need to fight as hard as we can because as it is this system is designed for about 15% of us to be unemployed and starving to death at any given time, and that’s not even counting

lol get a fucking grip.

Are you saying we can’t expect a AAA game publisher to meet the same accessibility standards as other AAA game publishers because... it’s hard?

In other news... the game does not have Denuvo or other strong DRM protections on PC and can be downloaded for free starting today.

That is not an acceptable answer. Stop giving bethesda a pass

So what?!? You cannot build all your games on PC for the most top 25% of hardware. Most PC Gamers aren’t running top of the line hardware. Hell, most PC gamers aren’t even running recent hardware. Nvidia GeForce 10xx series GFX cards are still the most used on Steam. CPUs on Steam still hover around 2.3 - 2.9 GHz as

I love using and fine-tuning a lot of accessibility options. Even if I don’t need them, they still improve the experience as an aging player. The Last of Us 2 is like the high watermark with that, which all AAA studios should try to meet or exceed.

But they have large fonnnnnt! Seriously, though, how many games manage to give us huge lists of accessibility options and NO large font? I have 20/20 vision, and I can’t even read menus in a myriad of games because they refuse to add a large font feature due to where I sit in proximity to my screen.
