Oh, the coop is definitely janky. I don’t do PvP at all, though. That’s my problem. Seamless coop overhauls the coop system and makes it much better, but it’s still a buggy mess and you can’t use it with From’s servers.

From really needs to take a page out of the mod community and rethink their coop.

Hot take here but the the co-op and PVP are both absolute jank fests in From games. Elden Ring is slightly better than it has been in previous titles but no exception to the jank.

The Seamless Coop mod is better but it’s still really flawed.

Last time I lost a job, I had to take a substantial pay cut in a different field to keep a roof over my head. I slowly worked my way back and now I’m doing decently.

I got laid off 2 months ago.

There’s no jobs left in the market, nearly 30000 people in my field got laid off in the last 3 months alone.

It doesn’t make it better, but tech and media companies have been and are laying off people left and right as well. Whether we have a recession or not, companies are acting accordingly.

Oh, and about 1/3 of the OLED models use an inferior Sk Hynix eMMC chip (the internal memory) than the Samsung variant used in every other Switch. They run a bit slower, fail more often, and are prone to needing to be replaced due to literally thermally cracking or otherwise failing completely.

It’s also quite possible that since I’m primarily using the more efficient, and, importantly, more thermally efficient Switch Lite (the Mariko / Tegra X1+ revision in the Lite and OLED models uses a smaller fab size, runs cooler and with less energy, and is capable of being clocked higher than the original Erista…

I have slightly varying levels of performance depending on which of our Switches I use, so it’s not a big leap.

Nintendo also forgets to apply thermal paste to the SoC sometimes, and thermals on those devices cause massive throttling to take place.
