Perhaps Theresa May is cleverer than we thought:

My reaction reading the headline.

“...it doesn’t matter which subject it is, you’re a bigot or you’re a racist.”

You know, at 72, I probably wouldn’t want to spend the last several years of my life fighting against a rapist that I would much rather forget. I respect her decision.

Don’t let anyone ever tell you your home is safer with a gun in it.

It would be horribly tragic if my ability to protect myself or my family were to be taken away, but that’s exactly what Democrats are determined to do by banning semi-automatic handguns.

I’m cringing so hard whenever I see a picture of those two - even the way they hold hands looks desperate and weirdly creepy. There’s just zero chemistry there.

Seems a bit desperate and try-hard, doesn't it?

I see a lot of King hatred in the comments and I’m actually fairly surprised. The man might not write ‘high-brow’ entertainment, but the majority of his books are good reads.

Well, it’s a matter of degree. Martin may not OWE us anything, but we also don’t owe him anything if he’s a lazy ass who won’t do his job.

King writes like (in terms of his work ethic and productivity) a professional, Martin writes like an amateur. Which is not to say that Martin’s writing is bad, but if he is sitting there struggling with sentence phasing on a first draft and putting 3 chapters in six months, he does not have a well-honed discipline

King is definitely more of a storyteller than a stylist.

See, it’s a hard balance. “The writer doesn’t owe you anything, he can do whatever he wants” versus, “It’s the writer’s job to write.” Both are kind of extreme, and we’re seeing them here. Stephen King has written some genus work, some crap, and some stuff in between, but he keeps writing. George R. R. Martin has

Counterpoint: Martin’s writing isn’t what people make it out to be either.

I do not drink and never have and have no desire to start. Mostly I try not to talk about it, though, because there’s a certain kind of person who will get really weird about it. And you can’t always tell who that person will be ahead of time.

Dear God no one can write stuff like that better than Caity.

You are basically asking her to title this “I was legitmately raped.” You want the headline to assure the reader that this was an acceptable abortion, not one of those bad abortions by bad people. Your judgement is one of the problems we are having around abortion.

god fucking damn it, the pull-out method. As a public health worker, I just have to cringe.

How exactly is it misleading?
