The total amount is extreme for sure here, but unless I misunderstood something about the case, he was only supposed to pay 50 dollars per month, meaning that he could never pay that off during his life. In fact, someone in another comment calculated that it would take 3500 years to do so at that pace. To me, that

Oh lol so this guy was just an idiot.

There’s evidence to suggest that the widespread availability of ROMs for the DS was part of its phenomenal success. It’s certainly the case that the most pirated platforms are always the most successful, from the Speccy onward. (The 3DS, which took an awful lot longer to crack, sold half as many units.) And more

From what I’ve read this case seems more damaging than most because he was charging users and the site had newer Switch games. Is it super damaging to Nintendo? Probably not too much, but if there’s a case you want legal precedent on your side, this is it.

They’re just destroying this poor guy’s life. I recognize what he did was wrong - and I get why Nintendo feels they need to defend their IPs - but isn’t forcing some Joe-Nobody to shell out millions of dollars for a first offense a little much? Smoke him for ten or so thousand dollars, get the court to forbid him from

I mean, if they really wanted to be true to Sonic OC’s, that should be a required feature.

The villagers have no personality for a game in 2021. There’s no feeling that they’re unique. If you get two of the same villagers it’s very obvious, but even the different personalities types aren’t interesting.

I’m waiting for the return of furniture sets. This game is missing a majority of the furniture sets that have been mainstays of the series. In addition, furniture added to the DIY crafting usually isn’t enough for a full set, even if you mix-and-match it with other sets.

I wonder if it’s just a different outfit that’s making him lose the ponytail though since they bother showing us his normal BOTW outfit with the ponytail intact.

Same, or at least a combination of big dungeons and smaller shrines. I’m thinking all the chunks of land lifting into the sky will be a good opportunity to reveal various caves and dungeons hidden beneath Hyrule.

Gonna be annoyed if they sideline Zelda again. She’s great! Let her be our friend! That falling shot concerns me.

The way to have your cake and eat it too is for dungeons to have items that are necessary for that dungeon, but in all other cases are just helpful.

I just hope dungeons are back. I had my gripes with BoTW, but overall I enjoyed it. I missed the varied dungeons of past games though, as all the guardians and mini dungeons just felt too ‘samey’ after a while.

This is a pretty lazy excuse though. They used to do a better job when there were more dramatic differences in hardware. Now it’s all pretty standardized hardware.  Both could easily do more if they cared to do so.

As a big fan of the original Super Mario RPG, I still remember the backlash the original Paper Mario got upon its release.

Man as a fan of the old school Paper Marios (like everyone else) this is a big bummer to see.

This is just one of those Nintendo things that you can’t do anything but scratch your head at.

For a company that’s supposed to be all about fun, this is a real lame stance to take. Did that pink goomba damage their precious Nintendo brand? Between these restrictions and a refusal to give fans the RPG they want, it just all feels so pigheaded.

I don’t really understand why this policy is in place. What is Nintendo afraid of; that deviating too far from their established designs will alienate their fans?

I’m curious if there’s more restrictions we don’t know. As while this would explain most the partners and characters like Tubba Blubba or Jr. Troopa who are clearly related to Mario species. But as written Rawk Hawk, the Shadow Sirens, Count Bleck’s group, and Twilight Towners would all be fine. Yet besides one new
