This. VW is pure garbage. Out of everyone I know that owns one they all have problems. In fact, all of them had electrical problems except for one, but the motor blew at 77K. This is out of a sample size of 6 that I can think of, but I might be forgetting another 1 or 2.

While the overall average for reliability may have gone up from decades ago, I still question what other poor life choices people have made when I see someone driving a Mitsu, and to a lesser degree Nissan and VW. I still struggle to encourage people to buy VW, and certainly not Mitsu, and would never consider Alfa for reliability and certainly not Fiat for any logical purchasing decision
