That isnt a bad increase if it were just a year over year bump, let alone a new generation with such improvements and features. I can almost guarantee if this was a $1000 increase on a Porsche or Lexus it wouldn’t have been critiqued in the same light. But it’s GM, and this is new era Jalopnik. IMO

They could likely drop the 6 sedan and soldier on with the 3 in sedan and hatch form to keep their skin in the game. The turbo if offered on more models as of 2019, the new Skyactiv X or whatever the trick gas engine is…

Have a lineup similar to Mazda. Crossover heavy, but update the damn things. Also have the Frontier (new gen for next year). For enthusiasts a new 370, which is supposed to be coming too.

I believe the lowest priced Aviator Hybrid is $70,000. It was my understanding the the hybrid F150 was to be priced more moderately. And 3.5TT hybrid doesn’t scream moderate to me.

Unless I’m worng there is no regular 3.5 in the F150. The base model is a 3.3 (280hp) and the Ecoboost is 3.5TT (375hp).

I’d do it. I still think this drivetrain is the best EV/EREV solution currently. GM did a fuck of a job understanding the product internally let alone marketing it externally.

Relying on a dead battery jump start is a great way to kill the life of your battery. If you don’t want to start the car and drove it for 10 minutes get a trickle charger/maintainer and leave it plugged in like any other long term battery storage (boat, quad, RV, etc)

That’s exactly why Italy and others are in such dire straits, the volume of people can’t be managed.
