It wouldnt surprise me if everyone now at Jalopnik didnt like trucks TBH

Tires? New C8 has wider rubber than the C7 Stingray right? Obviously a lot else has changed with the car, but city MPG doesn’t reflect aerodynamics and body shape, weight difference is minimal.. tires are the easy culprit

Any newer Lexus comes pre-dinged from factory

GM has shown that V8s are still relevant, especially in trucks, compared to on-paper-more-efficient smaller displacement forced induction engines.

What are you even talking about? The Vortec and LT truck engines are all LS based. So yes to your rough roads question..

Nissan makes the best 1998 interiors

The past couple years has seen Jalopnik staff carry negativity and sarcasm towards GM, Tesla, and other big brands especially when they try to innovate with new features and concepts.

I’m sorry, but you’ve seen the bottom of too many Fosters if you think the 3.6 family of V6 engines is better than the LS family.

I’m not saying he gets an automatic pass because of this, but do you know who Rob Holland (the guy you replied to) is? Just throwing it out there

Still not sure if you’re joking or maybe have zero experience with Chevy V8s?

LFX>LS? GTFO lol. Is that a joke sailing over my head or are you serious?

As I worked further down the list I kept asking “ok but what about McLaren”and there it was, and “ok but what about LFA V10" and so on. But now I’m asking what about LS7, or just LS in general. An now LT. That is what defines the decade of motors and don’t kid otherwise. And moving into the next decade they are still

Sure. Agree to agree that any vehicle can have advertisements on it...

Can get window wraps, so you get the entire side of the vehicle plus the rear

If it’s a solely a sales vehicle, why does it matter what criteria it meets (i.e don’t want a van “so what else is there?”). It’s essentially just a commuter. Buy a Mazda 3 or a BMW X2 or a Chevy Volt. Any small samples of roofing you have, and the brochures, and your clipboard, laptop, measuring tools, will all fit

Is it an indication of the vehicle or an indication of the type of people who buys those vehicles and then hold onto them for 15 years. I dont know a single person with a vehicle older than maybe 2012.

It’s not a shitty car, I did not say that, it’s a shitty successor. There is some reading comprehension issues going on. No offense, and it’s not just you. It’s a fantastic car, albeit expensive in it’s class, a great BMW or a great Toyota to start a new lineage or name.

Toyota Motors the parent corporation with multiple subsidiaries/divisions.

A Lexus is not a Toyota, as much as it wouldn’t have been a Scion. A Lexus LC or RCF doesn’t mean Toyota, the brand, has performance vehicles because of those two models. Lexus, the brand, does.

Business is business. A partnership with BMW wasn’t going to change the Supra.
