I would absolutely worry about an EV being charged in my garage. Doubly so for a basement garage, which can send the whole house up in flames really quickly.

You don’t need to spend 200k to get something faster than an RS7.

I feel for you. But anyone can install a GM one wire alternator. The hardest part is making the brackets to adapt it to the block. But I've put these on old jeeps, tractors, forklifts, a model A ford, it's really not that hard. You can do it!
