As a current Old Land Rover owner (no, of course it doesn’t run), this looks slightly less complicated than the OEM.

My eyes see the word V8, but my ears INSIST that this is a v12. The HOWL!

I’d guess the AC Cobra, 289 or 427, would give the Countach a run for it’s money regarding longevity. All 3 are my early lust cars.

I LOVED my ‘88, which bought as my first new car after college. It was kind of gutless by today’s standards, but was a hoot at the time. It was my DD, and I rallied and Auto Crossed it for years. Great for road rallies, and working the course at Pro Rallies, but not too good at auto x. A faulty turbo fixed under

EV’s seem like a great idea, if you’re buying a new car (or recent used car) as a commuter. My budget won’t allow for EV purchase for perhaps another decade. I gotta think many of you are in that boat, too.

FWIW, I have an old Mack Truck piston on my bench as a pencil holder. It’s aluminum.

I suspect that the truck was opened by the owner to get something as the water rushed in. The owner probably didn’t get to shut the trunk after.

It’s a movie. Suspend disbelief and allow the script writers to make shit up. You wouldn’t pay ten bucks plus popcorn for boring old reality, would you?

They’ll all have to buy ten year old used trucks, which is what they do now.

Lime Rock Park in CT isn’t that far for you.

My project Land Rover is so rusty (the non-aluminum parts) that I’m strongly considering FE2O3, which googles out as iron oxide.

Did they mention how they were going to keep the dissimilar metals from corroding them selves through electrolysis? It will happen. Eventually.

This car truly deserves the “Ass of Glass” nickname that the Barracuda is stuck with.

Having owned one when new, for a few years, I’d say buy it for that price. But I won’t be buying it. Enjoy the novelty, and second gear blasts on dirt roads, and that dash that actually did come with the car originally. I’d love to see someone else fix it. Fun car, for sure, but for a much younger me.

To start the rescue of my ‘73 Series 3 88", I took the whole damn thing apart, except for the parts with fluids. I bought the new chassis, which was a shocking expense, but now it’s just a matter of moving my own construction materials off of the new chassis so I can be inspired by it, and start transferring parts. I

How about posting the transcript for those of us who can’t/won’t watch the video?

I also noticed it want to be belt drive, but it has chain rings. That’s some kinda engineering!

Came here to say same.

I got out of sales when I realized selling was easy, but making money on selling turned me into a douche (temporarily, I think).

I’m psyched for the complete rust-through of all foam-backed steel panels (after warrantee). That’ll kill the used car market. Go Obsolescence, go!
