Numbness can come from wrong saddle height as well, so before you go spending money on a new saddle, try adjusting your saddle height and improve your bike position in general.

This is definitely a time where paying for quality matters. I switched over to Brooks saddles awhile back for a Priority Classic and after you break it in, there is nothing better than a suspended leather saddle and with some different spring configurations you’ll find a level that works for you.

Funny, I literally just bought a Brooks Flyer for my commuting bike. Its been a game changer; absolutely perfect saddle for any bike more aggressive than a beach-cruise but without drop-bars. I still miss my steel-framed bike, but the Flyer makes me miss it less so (still: Death to Aluminum!)

Saddles with the cutout may help. They may not. Try other fitment stuff first.
