Brooks (and other) leather saddles are the most comfortable saddles out there—if you ride fairly often. Most people don’t, and aren’t up to the caretaking that leather saddles need (break-in, regular leather treatment, coverage against rain [this is also one of--though by no means the only-- the reasons that I have

To me, the first generation was a little plain.  The second generation has a little more design to it (and the seats are a way better fit for me).  After that, they started landing on chrome and those fake-waffle panels in the rear.  The 2d generation looks like a utility vehicle—an escape pod.  After that, it’s like

I like it, but that’s the sort of thing I like.  Degustibus, non est disputandem.

Me, too.  Now, doing 12 hours in the back seat is another matter.

I tend to agree that the latest model Fit is not good to look at.  Mine’s a 2010, and I rather like it, but each to their own taste.

I have two roommates. My Spouse and my Child (youngest of four, she’s 21 and came home over break and then, of course, things went into a handbasket.

I am so sorry; my condolences.  I lost my parents a few years ago, and having all the people around was difficult, but I don’t know how I would have felt doing it alone.  You are a hero.

OK, this is cool. But at least as far as programs and files, it doesn’t do anything more than the Windows key, and requires a two-key combination.

WD40 is OK, but you need to apply it frequently. It’s mostly a volatile carrier that evaporates and leaves little behind in the way of lubrication. There are a number of better lubes, making all kinds of crazy claims. Just ask your bike shop for some good stuff and you’ll likely be set for life. I kind of like Chain-L

Looking at it, it reminds me a bit of my Dad’s ‘67 MGB. Those were sports cars, not muscle.

This looks like premeditated murder. IMO That’s how it should be charged.

I guess losing a wallet is more consequential when you’re traveling, but doesn’t everything in the story apply to domestic situations as well--wherever your domicile happens to be.  I’ve never lost a wallet in my life.  Though I must admit, the pandemic has led me to lighten mine considerably.

Until you can squeeze a new phone or laptop down fiber-optic cable, we need physical mail.  And maybe even then.

Or send them a letter or postcard.

A few years back I had to drive from New Haven to JFK in a massive December blizzard. There were SUVs and various 4WD vehicles scattered all over the ditches and snowbanks. The Fit (on new all-season radials) never blinked.  I love this car.

I had a last-generation Civic Wagon for 15 years.  IMO the 2nd generation Fit is better in almost every way--except that I miss the windshield and fast hood drop of the wagon.  I hear that the front end on Fits is something like 3" longer than it is in the European Jazz, due to crash regulations.

I’m 5'11" and I find the 2010 perfect.  Base stick.  Weird pedal placement??

Mine is the Tardis.  Bigger on the inside.

I own a 2010 Fit base manual, bought used at 100K. It’s now over 150K, and other than oil changes and a set of tires, the only thing it’s needed was an A/C relay. I’ve loaded it with 500# of frozen meat in grocery tubs, furniture, my bike (one of the main reasons I got the Fit was so I could carry my road bike with

I was just a tike at the time that the Mach 1 came out (I did build a plastic model of it, even painted the hood flat black, just like the real thing). My memory is that for all the power, the hood tie-downs, the paint, the first-generation Mach 1 had serious handling issues. Like I seem to recall Car & Driver taking
