I think a lot of people take great pride in being intentionally ignorant and also very loud.

Every fan rationalizes every playoff loss by pointing out outliers. The thing is, the winning team almost always plays above their averages, and the losing team almost always has a below average game. That’s just a given. Did anyone really think Siakam was going to continue shooting 81% from the field after Game 1?

The thing is, they don’t have to. They don’t care that they’re being hypocritical and don’t have a definite stance. Their voters don’t care because they just want to cast a ballot for someone who will “fight the libtards” or whatever. Principles or coherent ideas are entirely an afterthought.

Seriously. These guys are pros for a reason. They’d play with a bone sticking out of their body if a doctor let them. They’d be out there playing ball at age 65 if a team would let them.

I’ll never forget that game where Eagles fans were whooping it up when Michael Irvin was being carted off the field with a neck injury. But that was like 20 years ago. I’m not sure if NFL fans have kinda wised up about how serious some injuries can be, or if the crowds are just more subdued in general than they used

Some homeless people still have family who care about them, but either can’t offer them a place to stay or the homeless person themselves would rather live on the streets, so they could have someone else paying their phone plan. There’s also some missions or orgs like the Salvation Army that will offer free burner

It also doesn’t help that the ideal juror from a lawyer’s perspective is an easily manipulated puddle of goo.

The Party of Personal Responsibility

I think most of the tacticool LARPers have moved on to the Gun Owners of America, because they think the NRA is “too pussy” or whatever. So look for the GOA to be indicted in their own money laundering scandal in 10 years.

That’s the defense that kept DJT Jr out of prison

I disagree. I think they are both not running for senate for different reasons. Beto’s is more of a calculated political move. If he couldn’t beat Cruz in an off year with the entire force of the Democratic Party behind him, he has no way of beating a more popular politician when the Dem machine is going to be behind

Given normal US population growth and given that Beto lost by 3 points, that means that in 2020 whatever Dem that runs for Senate in Texas would have go get within ~4% of Cornyn in order to pass Beto’s vote totals. And whatever Dem runs for governor in 2022 would have to get within 5%. Those two things are far from

Cousins was arguably a top 2 Center in a league where Centers have never been less valuable. KD has inarguably been a top 2 overall player in the NBA for the last ~7 years. They’re in totally different universes when evaluating their contributions on an NBA floor. Even if KD actually fully ruptured his Achilles, he’s

The Nets traded Crabbe to the Hawks last Wednesday.

I don’t even have a real opinion on the Saints, but I like going back and watching that overtime. Even after the no call, the Saints had 1st and 10 near midfield to win the game, then Brees went Full DeShone Kizer and just aimlessly throws the ball straight in the air to no one in particular like he’s playing a game

If this were viable strategy, you’d see it employed all the time in college ball. Anecdotally, I’ve watched a pretty stupid amount of college football and I’ve never seen this tried once.

Turn lanes are engineered via computers to be long enough that a driver doesn’t have to slow down prior to entering a turn lane while traveling at full speed. So by slowing down in traffic before getting to the turn lane, you’re really saying “I’m dumber than the dumbest person that computer system could have come up

Whenever I pass someone on the interstate whose speed is varying seemingly at random, 99% of the time the driver is on the phone.

Everyone thinks they drive the same while on the phone, but no one actually does. And as a society we’ve done next to nothing to stop people from using their phones behind the wheel. I

If this guy said some really vulgar racist shit to Lowry, he’ll get a ban for life too. We don’t know what he said yet.

Everyone on the Brewers pitching staff not named Josh Hader or Jeremy Jeffress is straight up AA- or AAA-level. So every even semi-available pitcher this season is going to be connected to them.
