Yup, this is a know in traffic planning. Predicting to relieve congestion just promotes congestion at a higher level. The counter is true as well: reducing the capacity of a route reduces the journeys in total - they don’t just go somewhere else.

I find that VR alone is *soothing*, but social VR, eek no. And faux-social VR like Dance Central, apparently, is just social enough.
