@eltonito: On one hand you say no-one will buy these, on the other you're saying they're going to mark them up. If demand is high enough to mark these up, then I'd call them a success.

@eltonito: A: That will certainly be a perceived problem, but it doesn't mean they shouldn't build it. B: It's only a midsize by euro standards, by US standards it's small. It was caught wearing Hilux body, remember? That's smaller than our Tacoma, but still considered "Mid sized" by cheese-eating surrender monkeys.

@DisConform: Note that it isn't a full-sized truck. Also note that the only small truck on the market is the positively ancient Ranger. Everyone else has been supersized.

@layabout: Are you kidding me? One of these Zaps, a Nader '08 bumper sticker and a half-gallon of patchouli oil, and you'd be absolutely SWIMMING in hippy granola poon tang.

Since Davis is a "Nuclear Free Zone" (as if fallout respects local ordinances) I'm going to power mine up in Sacramento using sweet, sweet uranium-fueled electrons and drive it through downtown Davis laughing at all those silly hippies.

911. Because adding another 150lbs behind the rear axle will make it Porschier.

@AndyDuncan: Jesus. learn to spell, you dip.

Boo. Bring back the allroad. At least they're offering it with a diesel. Oh. wait. what's not in the US.

Here's hoping it's actually a mule for the Mid-engined replacement to the 911 that porsche should have made 20 years ago.

@ranger88: That system looks awesome but heavy. I wonder how much more it weighs than an open rear diff or even a rear torsen diff. The 335xi and A4s have an open rear diff, no?

And don't forget you can park free at LAX in those garages between the terminals in your electric car. Or your motorcycle.

I've been a bit of a JFG slut, letting everything and anything into my garage, but I had to vote against this one. I'm just not a fan of modern-retro cars, especially ones that let the retro run more than skin deep (read: wooden chassis).

@FLAT4-PΩWER ™: In a street race, so much of it comes down to the driver. A slow shift can easily be the difference between an STI and a Ferrari.

Look, I love the STI, but I'm a little skeptical of any results that put it ahead of the M3 on a dry track.

@Mrb00st: @Hobie-wan: If he got 60k out of the Goodyear Eagle F1s that were OEM equipment on that car, that's pretty good. If he replaced them once already, then that's pretty bad.

@TriShield: It takes time to repair a brand image so abused by things like the escort and the ion.

Yay. That is all.

@elwood: I think large Caddies and large Lincolns, specifically the continentals, are awesome in their own way. Certainly not in a track-day kind of way, but in a wafting diplomat/pimp/grandmother kind of way. It's a similar kind of vehicle as a modern day suburban or escalade, but with way more (less?) class.

@Mike the Dog: Well, and of course the Viper. Most recent model has a 512ci/8.4 liter motor.
