Well, Clarkson isn't widely known as that great of a driver, and it probably has more low speed grip than he's letting on, but it certainly looks like a handful.

They were testing a couple london cabs in San Francisco a few years ago. I rode in one to the airport once, the cabby liked it because the diesel engine got way better mileage than his crown vic. The fact that there's no trunk so your luggage is in the cab with you could be seen as a good thing or a bad thing. And

The drive-through dacquiri thing is amazing.

@no_slushbox: You may have, but nothing, I repeat, nothing, screams "I work in banking/middle management and I'm having a midlife crisis" like a vette.

@nirad: Yeah, sorry, should have clarified that as the west side, where $70k cars are as common as hot MILFs with nothing to do all day but work out and get gourmet groceries in their E63 AMGs.

@no_slushbox: Plus, the vette comes with a chest-hair toupee and a pair of Oakleys, don't forget about that.

@nirad: I agree with just about everything you said except that the "RS4 Didn't sell well here". I see them all the time in LA (Which is officially the Land of the M3) so I figured they were selling like hotcakes. Do you have sales numbers?

YAUMV (Yet Another Useless Mustang Variant).

@Mad_Science: There is the problem of not enough torque under 2k rpm, I'll give you that, but I think there's plenty of torque in that motor. Could it compare to a current model-year small block? Nope, but I think we forget how heavy our boats used to be and how weak our engines used to be:

Actually, that brings up a decent option for the 2.0t, throw it in the 'burb. Why not? It's got more power and (nearly?) as much torque as a small block V8 did 15-20 years ago. It wouldn't win any awards, but our trucks are far over-motored than they need to be.

Sweet, yet another Mustang variant which conveniently ignores the solid beam of iron connecting the rear wheels. See kids, it's not a live-axle, it's a really really stiff Anti Roll Bar!!

Put some realistically wide tires on the thing and ship it. It's what the prowler should have been.

Although, that station does have B99 biodiesel.

@TPSreports: Actually, I work in Brentwood, and that pump isn't operational yet, so it's really Zero E85 pumps in LA.

So, is it a 2.0 turbo or not? Is BMW being coy?

Too bad there's no damage simulation in GT5, that cross over in the middle of the track would make it fun for demo derbies.

It really looks bad in silver. Shows the absurd lines too well. Seems like dark grey is the way to go on this thing.
