(S)he stopped watching after the Pacific Rim 2 trailer.

I think you have no idea what this movie is.

I’m not sure this is the right movie for this rant.

I think you could do parts of House of Leaves. A strait adaptation of the found footage movie with the family living in the house could work pretty well I think. It wouldn’t really be adaptation of the whole book though.

I’ll give him a pass on the first two, but “I hear you,” FFS.

yup, I feel the same about adapting it too closely. I felt like it was one of the rare ones where you kind of HAD to take liberties putting it on-screen.

“I’m just bored stiff with the Beastie Boys being used as like, the height of rebel-dom”

While I do enjoy Los Beastie Boys, I think (and yes I know this still goes with your argument of ‘old’ music) that Rage Against the Machine and this trailer would be pretty righteous.

LOL... It is a perfectly fitting song for this stale cash grab! That’s awesome. Also... screw this movie. Not getting my hard earned cash. I’m not rewarding this kind of film making anymore.

I mean, I don’t disagree with you, and I would have been bummed if this were the official trailer.

I came here to express similar but you put it better than I did.

Loved it, but am I the only one who kinda want them to just drop Han altogether, and have a Chewie and Lando flick?

“Sabotage” starts, Elvis Costello cuts in, says “I’m sorry, ladies and gentlemen, there’s no reason to do this song here,” and we continue the trailer - but with the Cantina music.

This is horrible. Overused, overplayed song. This song has got to stop. Love Beastie Boys, but Jesus Christ... THEY HAVE OTHER SONGS!!!

Someone needs to tell these trailer dudes that the Beastie Boys had other songs too.

Yet I languish in the greys while triggertown over here slow jerks it to 80%s. At least say something funny.

I don’t think that’s the type of political disruption they’re talking about, though. Instead, the type that could, for example, create fake video that’s indistinguishable from real, used for a political purpose. We’re already very near that, if not already there, and it’s difficult to see how to effectively counter

I have my issues w/ parts of the Democratic Party, but DACA is the dumbest hill to shutdown the government and die on. The Democratic Party has no power in the House and is the minority party in the Senate. Stopping government services/benefits and furloughing thousands of federal workers in blue states was never

Judging by his recent body of work, Ridley Scott could sit down for a while.

To be fair, that question was answered in the OP.
