Making veggie alternatives gives you more options in controlling the calorie values of a food. More importantly, there are larger numbers of people changing their diets to include less meat and dairy, as information on the health benefits of a plant-based diet are publicised. There is real panic in the UK dairy

McDonald’s has always had vegetarian options, and Burger King used to do a Vegetarian Society approved burger. My favourite (fast food) veggie burger is actually a McDonald’s one: the quinoa curry burger available in Switzerland. If you ask nicely (in French) they’ll even cook it separately from the fish options.

Did you hear the BBC Radio 4 episode of Bookclub with Margaret Atwood? She talked about how Christianity, and the word of god, has to adapt to the prejudices of its loudest adherents. So ‘love thy neighbour’ and ‘the least first’ does not fit in with Ayn Rand’s selfish philosophy, so the hunt is on for sections of the

Her favourite book is apparently The Fountainhead, which makes me question her commitment to equality and equality of opportunity.

But most people also do not care enough to properly fund services and healthcare for them. If they did, there would be protests in the streets about the number of homeless

Not to such an extent. Nowhere near in most places.

America is a country which venerates its military (until they’re veterans), so embedding arms/death dealers into every cultural product is an inevitability.

I’m always amazed that people spend £$€10 on a takeaway pizza when you can make one at home for about £$€1.70. If you use an off-the-shelf flatbread, the cost goes up a little, but you still end up with something nicer than the takeaway.
