Making veggie alternatives gives you more options in controlling the calorie values of a food. More importantly, there are larger numbers of people changing their diets to include less meat and dairy, as information on the health benefits of a plant-based diet are publicised. There is real panic in the UK dairy…
McDonald’s has always had vegetarian options, and Burger King used to do a Vegetarian Society approved burger. My favourite (fast food) veggie burger is actually a McDonald’s one: the quinoa curry burger available in Switzerland. If you ask nicely (in French) they’ll even cook it separately from the fish options.
Did you hear the BBC Radio 4 episode of Bookclub with Margaret Atwood? She talked about how Christianity, and the word of god, has to adapt to the prejudices of its loudest adherents. So ‘love thy neighbour’ and ‘the least first’ does not fit in with Ayn Rand’s selfish philosophy, so the hunt is on for sections of the…
Her favourite book is apparently The Fountainhead, which makes me question her commitment to equality and equality of opportunity.
He has a thing for hateful, right-wing blonde women. Or maybe just blonde women and the politics don’t matter.
“They did naht get a pay raise. They did naht get a pay raise. They did naaaaaht. Oh, Hi Mark.”
It’s not really a membership organisation or a democracy, it represents the manufacturers and exists to ensure the cash keeps rolling in. That the leadership has convinced millions of Americans to give it money is a mark of genius.

Hating on veterans is a betrayal, and I think people in general do not support the way your (and my) government treats people who have served. But most people also do not care enough to properly fund services and healthcare for them. If they did, there would be protests in the streets about the number of homeless…
Not to such an extent. Nowhere near in most places.
America is a country which venerates its military (until they’re veterans), so embedding arms/death dealers into every cultural product is an inevitability.
I’m always amazed that people spend £$€10 on a takeaway pizza when you can make one at home for about £$€1.70. If you use an off-the-shelf flatbread, the cost goes up a little, but you still end up with something nicer than the takeaway. And it’s quicker. 20 minutes to make and cook at home, 30 minutes delivery.
Is that, like one month of dodged tax?
Why is he with Tom Cruise in that picture up top?
This doesn’t even work in the non-disaster world. In a closed system, there can be no uptick in ‘asset allocation’ because the assets are outside the system.
