Fine line between food fans and food snobs.  Case in point, any post about regional pizza styles...

As far as the pizza vs taco joint thing is concerned, NO ONE expects any kind of decent treatment of meat coming out of a pizza place. You get pizza done right, but usually nothing else.

I think most here have restaurant business health at heart, and I doubt many would head to a taco shop for wings, and their cooking facilities aren’t really designed for wings, IME.

I mean, I guess I understand the impetus to make this comment, and I completely understand the reasons to make it; if I were in the same position I’d probably feel the urge to do so as well...

My mom’s the same way but we also go to Del Taco (my favorite fast food spot, which is not around me in NorCal) once every time I’m home.

I think (at least for my personal opinion on filet mignon) it’s just such a hard cook to get right in restaurant settings.

I would pay low three figures - like, $100-130 — for truly god tier cut of meat, assuming it was a generous portion size and came with a couple sides.

That’s how I feel about filet mignon. 

If I’m dropping three figures on a steak, it had best be the greatest steak I have ever eaten.

Yeah I thought the whole thing with the wings is that they’re a garbage part of the bird that anyone can cook so they can be sold for many times what they’re actually worth...?
