This is what occurred to me as well. The frog DNA thing is perfect for handwaving away the featherless dinosaurs.

I'm a little disappointed that there's a CGI gate rather than a physical one, but all in all the dinosaurs look quite good. Though I hope that there are at least some physical dinosaur props, because it was part of the reason that the dinosaurs felt so very real in the original. Also, as a sidenote, it's incredible…

I want to throw up.

I'm still amazed at how well the 1993 film holds up. CGI is regressing these days and 90% of it is laughably bad.

I'll give you that, but it makes me think it is fake because it doesn't ring true to the Falcon. Remembering how the cannons fired when the Tie fighters attacked is such a visceral part of the scene, just such a throw back to A-A cannons on navy ships in WWII. That chug-chug-chug. I don't see a 'huge fan' like JJ…
