I'm not saying the movie isn't "mature". First of all, a movie can't be mature or immature. You could say a movie has a subject of a more mature nature. Which in this case it clearly has not. As you said, it's not trying to have a deep message or anything.

Well that was my first reaction. Not a jab at girls, but a jab teh nerdz.

I thought it was making fun of boy-men, implying that most girls are mature enough to not like this movie.

Um, it was more of a sideswipe at nerdy manchildren. If anything it says that girls are mature enough to not like this movie.

That's an interesting take you have on the book. My take is more about hope, not the lack thereof. It's also interesting that I never thought of it as a tragedy, but reading your post made me think that it is in every way a tragedy what happened to Piscine.

It's been a while since I read it (for the second time), and in my opinion that was the text really. The subtext was more about humanity, and choice and faith in other things that aren't deities.

Who would've thought that these questions, that have stumped the brightest minds in history, would've been answered by a few internet commenters in a matter of minutes. It's quite amazing.

I agree. I successfully was taught and then proceeded to dance this dancing style the other day.

A more badass picture I have yet to see.

I remember this one being a decent one too. But I was a kid, so who knows.

I really hope they don't base the new Batman movie on that videogame. The game was ok, but the story was absolutely awful. If you could call it that.

I loved everything about Sunshine. The photography was amazing and the acting was way better than expected. Yes, the physics are wonky, but the story and direction is very good.

Yes. Catholics take evolution as fact, and the Genesis story to be more of an allegorical way of saying "Yep, God created the universe".

A lot of scientists practice religion, some lightly and others more piously. All of them know that the Bible simply cannot be taken as a literal life instruction manual.

Watched it purely by chance and thought it was sort of fun. Esposito is badass as ever, and the others were kind of meh. Even uncle Matherson, was bland, so I hope everyone gets better characterization.

Terrible but I laughed so so much.

Was...was that the ending to Looper? Please say it's not and I did not read the ending to Looper.

What happened to you, America? You used to be cool.

If aren't already in advertising, you should be.
