Thank you for revealing to us the illusion of it all.

A History of Violence was a very nice surprise.

Star material right here.

Well, it's going to sound harsh but... I guess Whedon fans are more used to commercial failure?

The difference between both groups is Nolan fans know that Nolan is not infallible. Meanwhile Whedon fans see Whedon as a quirky messiah.

I want a bag of Sabor de Soledad now.

I agree with your first paragraph. They don't need much depth as characters, but they do have it, and I thought we were going to see more of that. Maybe that's why I was a bit disappointed.

This is, of course, only my humble opinion, but it didn't engage me at all. The villain did not look all that great (we mostly saw SWAT guys), the theme was extremely cliche'd (the truth about my past and my parents etc.) and he sounded depressed during the whole thing (not very Spider-Man-y at all!).

Went with a (girl)friend who hasn't seen any of the previous films and she enjoyed it a lot. She now wants to see all of the previous films.

I think this is going to be a very good movie, since Marc Webb's style is there and Garfield continues to be awesome.

That actually sounds pretty awesome.

Brilliant.

Well, they sure trying their hardest to make it seem that way. I really do not get these steps some communities are taking, it's as if they believe that identifying yourself as a girl or a guy is a bad thing.

Well done.

Seems to me the word they are adding is symbolic, and they are just trying to continue being the best at gender neutrality. People using it, well, that's another story.

Yes. This is exactly the attitude people should consider having. The Avengers was a fun movie, it was incredibly funny that didn't take itself too seriously. It sacrificed character development for character interaction, but a lot of people didn't miss that (plus with that many characters, I guess it's better to not
