you don't get it. That is fine. I'm not going to waste any more time on something this obvious.

Grade inflation is the norm at AV Club.

Seriously? If I was running a fund raiser and found that I got a huge donation from someone who sold crack to kids I would tell that person to drop dead. Take that times 700 Million. Don't forget that while the firefighters were dying, Bobby was looking for ways to capitalize on the whole act.

Are we supposed to act as if the 40 second promo at the end for next week's episode didn't exist? It seemed to be pretty clear.

I'm pretty sure if we found out someone made hundreds of millions the outcry would be far worse than what is presented on the show. Social media would destroy these people, and there would be cries to remove their license to do business in the markets, and call for restitution

>>I know the name of the show is Billions, but it would be nice to get some idea of exactly how much dough Bobby is supposed to be sitting on<<

Blasphame away. I loved the guy in Nurse Jackie so I know he can act, but never cared for him in BE. He just doesn't seem convincing. So much over emoting when just a pinch of nuance or subtlety would go a long way. In this show he's like a pitcher with a 100 mph fastball, and nothing else.

Actually they are worse. Richie's character is just unwatchable when he's doing his hyper coked out routine so in my mind the grades are charitable.

The last two weeks we got Jason Isbell, the Mats, Guadalcanal Diary and a few others I'm forgetting. Best part of the show by far.

A lot worse. BCS is tremendous.

I have no idea if the $9.6M was a realistic #. Even by NY standards that seems a lot. If they had thrown out a $4-5M figure I wouldn't have given it that much thought. If he wants out so that his wife can get out of Axe, it would make sense for his family.

I thought what Chuck did here was clever. Spyros could have called his bluff and stuck with his consensual/SOL but because this is Billions and stories get wrapped up quickly or never at all, he got red eyed and caved easily.

Glad I wasn't the only one.

you have to be kidding. My goodness.

I'm finding it hard to believe that head banger Metallica loving Axe gets the Replacements. But the Ledge is an appropriate song for his current situation.

This was a decent episode, but the ending left me with a bad taste. Dad basically sneaking out in the middle of the night and rescuing his two spoiled kids from their mother's idea. Awful. But there were good parts, and I'm still watching despite the terrible writing.

Of course it is all personal opinion. But I wouldn't take a person serious if they mention that song in the same breath as the Wrong Child or World Leader Pretend, or the others you mentioned. That was a pretty solid album, but paled in comparison to all the IRS catalog

Agree. But they really missed a great chance to use Courtney Barnett's "nobody really cares if you don't go to the party". Probably a bit too obvious.

That REM track is horrible. It s/b hidden.

different strokes. I felt it was dreadful. Had to turn it off. Maybe I'll give the episode another try sometime.
