I read through the original article and couldn’t find confirmation of my suspicion, but I hiiiighly suspect the city official was not a white man.

Being a POC means the default is ‘be arrested’

So I see you’re deliberately ignoring the part where a city official came by to explain the situation to the police.

My understanding is if you dare to say “I am not committing a crime” or “please let me explain before you arrest or shoot me” that’s resisting arrest.

I didn't check, but my suspicion is perhaps the city official was a POC themselves.
