ob·jec·tive
Objectively not good? Objectively normal? By whose view? Because it seems pretty damned subjective from where I’m standing.
For the exact reason that it remains stigmatized and illegal; seeking external help is very difficult, and therefore avenues exist where people can easily take advantage of others.
10000% this.
Thank you for this supportive and informed stance.
No, this is akin to saying women who wear miniskirts and go out drinking should know full well someone’s going to spike their drink and rape them.
My sister is a brilliant, talented individual who is not defined by her career choice. I’m proud of her, and I support her unconditionally. And I advocate like hell for all her choices and continued ability to do so. Including pointing out the hypocrisy from straw feminist commentors who think they have some moral…
I read the article, I think we’re making progress.
Thanks for clarifying your position that women should definitely be punished for their choices, as well as continuing to punish women with no choice.

All of this.
This entire comment reads like a troll attempt.
By your own admission, you know three sex workers.
Boy, is there a lot to unpack in this comment.

First, it is very bizarre to me how people consistently erase all people who are not heterosexual cis women from the equation of sex work.
Thank you for this reasonable and progressive viewpoint. I hope more people come around to this stance.
People with a sense of misplaced moral superiority, that’s for sure.
How about not telling anyone what they “should” or “shouldn’t” do in their lives if it doesn’t harm anyone?
