The only part of your comment I don’t agree with is ‘the smell test’ because people tend to believe what’s plausible based on their own lived experiences.

I completely agree with everything you said here. I may have misunderstood your original comment - my apologies.

I’ll reiterate with context.

Where did I deny his actions are negatively impacting both the POC community and the LGBTQII community?

What you call a ‘red flag’ can be someone else’s lived experience.

This strikes me as another bad-faith arguement, as I clearly did not reference a specific example, but I’ll entertain it.

Feel free to point out how, exactly.

My only issue with this is sometimes no amount of evidence will result in the correct people being held accountable, which certain groups know, and heavily rely on.

Let me remind you your president states all the time that facts aren’t facts, so I really don’t care to entertain poor-faith arguments such as this.

As sad as this is, I’m not going to apologize for believing him for so long.

I know art is absolutely 100% subjective, but... wow. I felt physical pain from looking at those.

Very fair point.

Acceptance is such an interesting concept because it can be seen as an impossible hurdle, since it means something different to each person, each culture, etc.

I cannot wait to see what gets dredged up, because despite all the airy bullshit about what was truly in Sandmann’s heart that day, I have a feeling there’s going to be a massive disconnect between his left ventricle and his whatsapp history.

It really seems that both the word and the prefix ‘social-’ have lost all reasonable definition and are now ‘anti-trump’ dogwhistles. Or full-on airhorns, because subtlety is also out the fucking window.

Every word in this post is a work of art.

ALL of this.

So glad I’m not the only one to read it as such.

“There is an element of control that some folks really enjoy and exercise via cheating”

Whether or not I agree with them, you’re welcome to your opinions on cultural values, what people are emotionally capable of, and your take on a celebrity relationship.
