I like non-car-person reviews of CUE. Mostly because they’re the only positive reviews of CUE that exist.

Perhaps they could then work alongside the OEM engineers to know where the important parts of the code are. Lord knows the auto-window-stopping code isn’t going to be hiding emissions cheats.

I actually went to a VW dealer by me this afternoon, since I’m buying/leasing within the next couple weeks. They all know about it, and they’re not happy, but the dealers haven’t been specifically talked to about the issue yet. There’s apparently a GMs-and-owners meeting taking place in the next day or two to discuss…

This is great news ... for me, because my girlfriend and I want a MY2016 SportWagen (TSI, natch), and lease prices are just a bit too high for our liking. The immediate drop in dealership foot traffic should give us a leg up in negotiations.

This is nothing new. Adaptive steering has been a feature on vehicles for a while now, whether it’s altering the steering ratio automatically at low speeds to make for easier maneuvering, or letting users choose between different steering “weights” (read: the effort required to physically turn the wheel) as well.

But they didn’t just rename it. They put it on a whole new platform, a platform that doesn’t include the Jetta, just the Golf.
