Didn’t even think about it until Rose McGowan suggested it.

I was kinda thinking the same thing but Syd led quite a peaceful life post-fame, he was the exception to the flame-out/dead at 27/died-penniless lives that so many of his contemporaries had.
Ghibli, Aardman and Laika all use traditional mthods for their animation (I think the Cartoon Saloon here in Ireland does too, but I can’t be sure).
Fuck.
Yep, the germans love their compound words.
This ^ a thousand times.
Holy crap, $2.75 for using an ATM???
Always when the wine is presented, do the 3Vs: Vineyard; Varietal; Vintage.
This is true, however if you can communicate why it is bad, it usually cuts down the bullshit the “sommelier” tries in order to force the wine on you.
Believe me, there are plenty of people out there that think that small pieces of cork in their mouths constitutes “taste”.
Sorry, I was just reminded of the time I was asked for a second opinion by a sommelier who was trying to placate a couple of Americans over their claims that their wine was “corked”. I had to winexplain to the Americans that “corked” didn’t mean “small pieces of cork” in the wine. And I had to tell the sommelier that…
With me, it was once Aeon Flux, The Maxx and The State ended.
How cow, American food festivals sound like a nightmare. The last one I went to, Meatopia held at the Guinness brewery in Dublin, I didn’t get halfway around the vendors before I was stuffed. The only thing that there was a lack of was beer tokens, but given it’s Dublin, a free bar would have lead to bankruptcy.
I just ask the brewers and or food producers I know if they will be at the festival. If they say “haven’t heard of it”, I don’t touch it with a barge pole.
Now, understand that “corked” means that it has a musty odour (black mold usually, that forms on the cork if it is not cellared correctly), and does not mean that there are pieces of cork floating in it.
Once watched a French wine snob argue with a French sommelier that the Margaux he ordered was oxidised. That was an amusing half hour.
I dunno- I’m not a Muslim in Britain.
You can still tip, just you don’t have to tip as much anymore. Also, as someone who has eaten in America and seen the massive amounts of food waste created, it would be easy enough to keep that entree at $15, just practice a little portion control.
Same in the UK and Ireland- the whole “no one will eat out if waiters got paid a living wage lie” is just that, a lie.
Worse is, I get the feeling that she wanted Dan to confirm/side with her; I don’t think his response is going to play into her narrative...
