How cow, American food festivals sound like a nightmare. The last one I went to, Meatopia held at the Guinness brewery in Dublin, I didn’t get halfway around the vendors before I was stuffed. The only thing that there was a lack of was beer tokens, but given it’s Dublin, a free bar would have lead to bankruptcy.
I just ask the brewers and or food producers I know if they will be at the festival. If they say “haven’t heard of it”, I don’t touch it with a barge pole.
Now, understand that “corked” means that it has a musty odour (black mold usually, that forms on the cork if it is not cellared correctly), and does not mean that there are pieces of cork floating in it.
Once watched a French wine snob argue with a French sommelier that the Margaux he ordered was oxidised. That was an amusing half hour.

You can still tip, just you don’t have to tip as much anymore. Also, as someone who has eaten in America and seen the massive amounts of food waste created, it would be easy enough to keep that entree at $15, just practice a little portion control.
Same in the UK and Ireland- the whole “no one will eat out if waiters got paid a living wage lie” is just that, a lie.

Funny you should say that- my youngest bought me one for Christmas a couple of years ago. It’s probably gathering dust in my pile of unused kitchen gadgets. I should dig it back out.
No, I do live in Ireland...
Why would Soldier need to backup on to a health pack? He can just drop a biotic field.
Are you sure? I heard that they were little bitches.
Must try that over the weekend.
Why? Or are you just butthurt because they call your kids out?
Depends, if their shopping includes high-end items, treats and expensive convenience meals then I’d say you were right.
We used to have an hour and a quarter before we moved premises- this was perfect as the old premises was close to town so we would regularly hit a restaurant (not a fast food place) for lunch.
My kids used to call out other kids for bad behavior in restaurants. I once had a parent ask me if I thought it was appropriate for my children to be telling off other children (the implication was “bullying”). I said that as they (the parents) were oblivious to the disruption their children were causing and therefore…
