I once went and saw The Blue Mondays- they were supporting some American poodle rock group I don't even remember- their fans were many teens who didn't bother arriving early for the opener. There were about 100 of us in total in the audience. Once The Blue Mondays had finished, we all turned and left.

So that's the end of Downton, A Sherlock special and Doctor Who to look forward to on Christmas Day. I only hope Eastenders can pull something out of the bag to live up to such prestigious company.

I think you'll find that's Misfits' Ruth Negga. Pity they couldn't get Robert Sheehan- Ruth and him have fantastic chemistry (see the first season of Love/Hate)

Or Jimmy Barnes, from Cold Chisel.

Vienna Midge Ure/ Ultravox- the live version with Midge playing the bridge on electric guitar (instead of string quartet in the recorded version). Spine-meltingly good.

Look again- the reason that Jay was still alive is because all the appliances were unplugged because the leads would not extend to the middle of the pool when they were thrown at her. The plan was still good as far as the rest of them knew.

It doesn't get rid of the curse, it just delays it until that person gets killed.

Spoilers- The fil was doing great up to "The Dark And Stormy Night" cliche. And then followed with a series of blunders which detracted from it:

RIP Terry Pratchett. And Irish DJ Tony Fenton. It's a sad day.

Saw it two weeks ago- I don't usually bother with horror films, but this one was quite decent (up to the point where it couldn't avoid cliche anymore…)

"it looks like A&E's series will take a different path to reach perhaps the same conclusion"

Finishes filming later this month- Expect to see it on Channel 4 before the end of the year.

I loved the way he kept going "bow-chika-wow-wow" and when Haqqani looks at him Saul goes "What???"

"test audiences complained that they didn’t know what “coup” meant."

Didn't Star Wars have a Christmas Special?

I think both Doctor Who and Last Of The Summer Wine has run longer than any American series. And if you are counting soaps, Coronation Street has run longer that any of them.

and The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

Give the dowager a good death and a sumptuous funeral. And have Spratt through himself into the grave with grief…

Also Freddie being beaten to death with a baseball bat.

    We call him The Paisley…
