@minneapolisite1: I would use iTunes for the sake of simplicity. Unless you're an Audiophile, simple AAC 320kbps would go great, as cv said. If you plan on using only iDevices and you're a stickler for audio quality, Apple Lossless is fairly efficient.
@curtis07: For Hackintoshing, I very highly recommend myHack Installer. A couple MB download that you run onto a flash drive with the Snow Leopard DVD restored on it.

@Curare: I always thought it was an entertainment publication, akin to The Onion.
@PearsonFlyer: Windows based PCs never really see their desktop much, as they have a true Maximize button, which fills up the entire screen with your window. This became somewhat of a habit when we were stuck with 1024x768 screens, when we had to maximize.

@edtv82: Tweaked OS X background I found floating around someplace. I can't stand the default 10.6 wallpaper. looks blurry, unfocused, and way too much pink emphasis. The 10.5 wallpaper was so much better.
