I can not imagine that Weinstein is not a part of a larger eco system. You Americans have this lovely term ‘victim blaming’, the purpose of which is to exonerate a victim of any complicity in any given bad thing happening. But here’s the thing, many of the ‘victims’ ARE complicit.

Learning more about your prejudices than about the prejudices of others. Welcome to a racist world.

Many car parks in the UK use number plate recognition. No humans involved. What look like security cameras track your car. Penalties are issued automatically. Nasty, nasty, nasty.

Wait until you’re my age! It gets no better.

Absolutely! Although, to be fair, in my experience, as a foreigner driving on German roads, most non-Germans seem to be pretty much OK. But it only takes one and it takes ages for the police to clear the blood off the roads.

Not back seat driving. If you are from the United States and you drive too fast on German motorways, just because you can, the chances that you are driving safely are not high. The image you shared of your wife’s ‘experience’ is hardly impressive. Kinda glad to have missed you two on my travels across Europe.

Pretty much everything you wrote about the autobahnen is true. Of course only a minority of these roads are derestricted anyway and conditions tend to preclude being too silly on them apart from occasional blasts which is kinda pointless in the context of an actual journey.

If you ain’t used to driving fast on roads then don’t try it *just because you can* on Germany’s autobahnen. The recommended limit on ALL these roads is 130 kph (80 mph) and that’s probably about right. If you are accustomed to US roads then hammering it down the autobahn is probably not safe for you and less safe for

At the moment they have a sale going on. It is well worth looking at pages other than the Kinja special page. I am looking at a linen suit from Summer 2017 with a discount almost as great as the Kinja clearance specials.

This looks like a great deal and, as I do not live in the U.S I just wanted to share that this offer is available globally, with a few exceptions.

Interesting presentation. I like his take on it. Seems to me that the result is actually good for both client and seller. And yes, I think that for most people buying on credit the payment IS the thing. The cash price is kinda meaningless in this context because the buyer is never going to pay cash, they are are

The traveling poor gotta be pretty damn poor if they can’t afford to buy a press wherever they happen to find themselves.

There was a time I was a frequent visitor to the Land of the Free. This is not that time.

I am glad it isn’t just me!

But that’s a separate matter, however, imagine the fuss and commotion when the inspector tells you about the shock. You call him a liar things go from bad to worse.

And when you get partial information and start making a fuss about the partial information shared?

Should I think differently of you because you were in the air force? Seems an odd thing to me, at least as odd as judging you by what you wear.

Decent suit is very comfortable. Crappy suit is uncomfortable.

Also from Europe and as you see I noted not small engines and that it is a torque thing. 1st to 5th? Can’t see it in a normal car but probably a typo. I don’t think my Merc actually had a five speed auto. :)

Is that something related to torque? OK, me no engineer or anything, but if the 4th gear can provide adequate torque at the top end revs of first gear then it’d go smoothly enough. That’s not going to happen on a small engined car though. Yonks ago I used to do stuff like that with my S500, albeit using the manual
