OK but you will be driving something with a CVT. I realize I am biased but I am going to drive 3 pedals as long as I have two functional legs and I can afford the car. It will be a sad day when I transition to an auto-shift.

Twins v Yankees always ends happily for the Bronx Bombers never the Twinkies.

More than that in flyover country.

There’s no such thing as a cheap Ferrari.  And this one has obvious care needs which leads me to believe it will need a lot of scratch just to keep on the road.

Very nice.  Very nice indeed.

It is possible to fix. I once rolled an XJ onto its roof and it collapsed under its own weight. The insurance company rebuilt it for me and I drove it for another 4 years or so then sold it to a local kid who I hired on occasion to do odd jobs. The Jeep ran fine but we all could see the rust starting in the reskinned

Ok if those sand dunes are a wilderness area I can understand the concern but that wasn't the understanding I had after reading the article.

Ok didn’t check all 146+ replies but here’s mine. Buy a pair of Levi’s and wear them. Put car fob in pocket. Violá! Problem solved. Plus everyone looks good in a pair of Levi's (at least to my eyes).

salvage title, missing parts, someone else’s project, dirty inside and out, posted 23 days ago and still for sale — the market has spoken and it is saying — this is so much CP.

Newsflash: Tourists cause headaches everywhere.

that deserves more stars.  I did NOT see that coming.

You’re the catbird of cars!

Two thoughts on this..........

Nissan found a way to out-subaru Subaru.

whoa, jason what are you on today?

@brandegee I hope the Arteon does well ..... at least better than the CC but I dont think folks coming into the showroom for an Atlas or a new model Tiguan will be cross shopping the Arteon.  My gut tells me it’s destined to be a premium car without premium sales.

If this release is anything like the Passat then we will see racier R versions in the future. I still dont think it will help the sales line. The CC was extremely limited in sales throughout its tenure in North America and I don’t see the Arteon (how the hell do we pronounce that anyway?) being any different. In fact

Because 48k is already a stretch for them?

I felt the same way about the analog clock in my then new 2013 Passat.  Then I asked my son and his buddies what they thought (14-15 years old at the time).  To a person they thought it was cool and gave an aura of class.  Blew my mind.  Did VW get the analog clock just right?

Currently my screen is wearing a portion of my lunch!
