Quick question about the design of this aircraft. My only experience with dual fuselage aircraft is the P-38 Lockheed Lightning of WWII fame. That plane has a horizontal stabilizer, a physical connection, between the two rudders and it seems that would greatly enhance stability in the air. Why doesn’t the Stratolaunch

If there was more room between seat rows we would care a whole lot less about someone reclining their seat.

Good Lord does anyone else see styling cues of an older VW Jetta?  Based on age the Jetta apes the Thema but man for $32 large I would not want to be reminded of a Jetta everytime I approached it.

Good call.

With a car like the R what will affect resale value is the mileage and whether or not it can be CPO’d. I would be happy with most of those 40 colors - some way more than others and Cliff Green or Viper Green Metallic are definitely acceptable to my eyes. Not so much the darker browns and greys. Personal favs would be:

“we’re just good ‘ol boys .......”

there’s a lot of truth in that photo.

surprisingly i like this. a lot.

it may not be your cup of tea but go play with the vw golf r configurator and have fun looking at 45 different color choices!

do they hate the car, the color or is it both? personally, you da man, as real men love color.

I cannot believe I am the first one to star this comment.

Two things. First the farmer (assumed) is smiling, nay grinning because he realizes what everyone is thinking. Second, that is an amazing utility vehicle for small farms. Motorized two front wheels with an engine mounted over them. With appropriate attachments it does everything from plowing to cultivating to (when

You might want to rethink that.  The long wheelbase and low ride may make transversing the jeep road difficult.  If you’re talking a typical 2 rut dirt road then maybe possible but a true jeep trail not likely a good idea.

Can confirm. We had a 2009 and I used it to take long, long (3.5 - 9 hour) weekend trips one way for ski jumping. We would put the long ski on the rack above next to the rocket box and pile 2-3 teenage boys and their gear and hit the road. My son, 6'3" at the time would sit in the way back fold the 2nd row chair forwar

That’s actually a good idea. A logical hybrid and one I had not thought of before.

And yet it has gone on for 11 years (2009-2019) with virtually no major redesign so the tooling costs are paid for. A niche vehicle that has its followers and likely returned a tidy profit to Ford - once the entire run is considered not necessarily in any given year.

You may not be aware of the early targeted advertising that Subaru had for their vehicles, esp the Outback. Camping was involved but Subaru targeted the gay/lesbian community in a subtle way. For some consumers they recall this at a conscious or even subconscious level. To be fair, she may hate camping.

At least your wife knows cars when you mention them by make / model. I gave up. It’s her car and her decision. To be fair she complained that I had intruded into the last 2 vehicle purchases that she drove. I stayed out of this one completely. (See, I am trainable.) To her credit: Used Subaru Outback 6mt. Cool idea

Ah, that all depends on the size of the 4 adults you are trying to move around. In my family the Golf is too tiny for the rear seat passengers (my boys) with large frames and big feet (size us 13+).  We live rural so a trip to town is 30 minutes.  A trip to the city is 3+ hours.  The Golf wouldn’t cut it.
