i know in many cases it would not be a simple a) unplug from engine bay harness, b) run new wires, c) install new holders/emitters (whatever), d) install the new bulb or led set and e) down the road you go. however for some that would be that simple i would think there’s a ready market.
with all the issues diesel has had in north american and europe i dont even look at diesel specs anymore.

seems to me there is a strong market for updating headlights correctly. that is not just putting in so called better or bluer bulbs but an actual retrofit. either that or just go the big government route and create a minimum standard.

I’m with you. The dash on our ‘98 Passat wagon was just so cool with the red on blue. Every time I fired it up at night and pulled out of the garage I felt like I was taking a starship out on a cruise. Had that vehicle from 10 - 245,xxx miles or roughly to the moon and around 1 time.

drove the kissin’ cousin plymouth horizon. can confirm.
i lust after that steering wheel. with only 2 spokes and at the 4 and 8 o’clock positions to boot. that allows me to drive at the 6 o’clock position or put my hand(s) where i want to on the wheel. o for the days of simple interchangable steering wheels
I keep hearing about the night time dash lights in Saab but i’ve never experienced them. Many a night i’ve driven and tried to turn the dash lights even lower bc i find them too bright for the conditions.
