disagree.  my 98 passat wagon (manual btw) has a flip up armrest that is always up bc it gets in the way.  my arm wants to be lower than that thing can go.  likewise my other cars have armrests but if i could i would remove them or have them flip up.  i have long arms btwn my shoulder and elbow.

I really, really hate 3 spoke wheels that interfere w my 6 o'clock driving position. I don't know if there is any good reason for having a 3 spoke over a 2 or 4 spoke wheel. I wish I could order the steering wheel I want just like an option
