it’s a 2 mile stretch of road. likely there was a reason to get to the other side and there are no crosswalks within that 2 miles.

came here to say this. every year. there is no reason why a driver cannot choose chocolate milk. my thought is that some do but are encouraged to choose a different type or listed as no preference.

came here for this recommendation.

Russian technology is what it is. In many ways it can appear rough, simplistic, unrefined, etc. But ..... it works and at the homeowner, inventer level it gets the job done with the materials at hand. I’ve seen problem solving where all I can say is “Brilliant!”

@Haze that’s a great explanation that I can visualize perfectly. It doesn’t take long at all to accomplish so it doesn’t seem burdensome. Each stop is a simple action just like preventative maintenance. Thanks for that.

there is a swede who has a similar idea but a bit more refined

I was looking for more information like this. How could oiling a system only every 100 miles or so actually work? An absorbent pad that provides lubrication over time. Sure would like to see pics of how this works, what’s involved in getting to the pad etc.

In summer 1992 I’m working in southwest Colorado along scotch creek south of Rico, Colorado doing research at about 7,500 ft elevation. the scotch creek road is driveable until it isn’t about 8,500 ft elevation. While working i could hear a vehicle coming downhill at a fairly rapid speed. What was coming? A

why not just dilute the higher octane fuel with something like .... idk ..... maybe ethanol?

Very true. Saw this color the other day and it looks very good.

1957 Chevrolet Bel Aire painted 1958 silver with matching silver and black upholstery. A one-off for the color combo she bought it at a GM auction in Detroit circa 1958-1959. We never did figure out why it was painted a ‘58 color - accident? or ordered that way? It was a program car so potentially anything is

Aw crap it’s on the way home.

Crap I’m in Roseville right now. Must not look at the ad, must not look....
