that is the best explanation of hp and torque i’ve heard. in part bc i can relate it to my own experiences. my tdi pushes me back in to the seat but quickly looses steam. the 240 ft lb of torque does that - the 140 hp can’t keep up.

well my 2013 passat has required two sets of sway bar links, blew a turbo, has two splits in the v-tex seating covers due to the polar vortex, and is not easy to keep in alignment. other than that i love the ride and the mileage and the fact that i could get it with a 6mt.

and i am still waiting for a fix on my 2013 passat 6mt. i doubt i will ever see one.
