Just so you realize the latex used to make natural rubber products does not come from harvested trees. Rather the trees are tapped akin to the method used for making maple syrup. No trees are killed in the making of natural rubber products.
having read portions of the settlement tdis that are turned in are to be cut in half. they cannot be resold in another country and they cannot be ‘fixed’ and resold by vw or anyone. they are done.

beg to differ. ‘98 passat 1.8L w/a 5mt approching 250k miles on the original clutch. it has gone through me, my wife, me again before my oldest learned on it and he is still driving it. lots of highway miles helps keep the # of shifts down. ymmv
and btw i drive a 6mt in traffic. it’s not that difficult folks.
