I think Carrie Coon is legally obligated to appear in every prestige TV drama at some point. She’ll get to that resort eventually.

I’m playing through the Alan Wake 2 New Game+, and I’m now pretty much convinced that I’m incredibly impressed by every part of this game that isn’t a game. I love the way it plays with different forms of media, I get a kick out of the writing and acting, I’m impressed with how the game is meta and self-referential

I don’t know if Driver is “funny,” per se, but SNL has had a lot of success using his intensity for comedic purposes. This episode didn’t have anything like the Career Day sketch from Driver’s first time hosting, but there is something inherently amusing about watching Driver approach an SNL sketch like it’s a Very

I assumed the headline was metaphorical or sarcastic, but...nope, literally running out of actual clay.

“Forks” was a genuinely remarkable episode of television, if only because it turned me around on Richie, a character I quite sincerely loathed for the first season and a half.

Perry had a brief run on The West Wing when Sorkin was still there, and he did a good job on that show as well.

She was originally going to play the lead in Gone Girl, from what I understand. That would have been pretty fascinating, though it’s hard to imagine anyone doing a better job in that role than Rosamund Pike.

Radcliffe was the only one on the show who still seemed to give a damn over the last couple seasons, which is very much to his credit.

This always feels like such a basic bitch take, since we’re talking about a massive budget AAA Marvel game, but I loved the first game so damn much. Hughes nails the joy and beauty of simply moving about the world, and while the story isn’t anything extraordinary, it nails the characters so well — the scene of Peter

They’re mostly people he’s worked with in the past — Flanagan is one of those directors who has a standard troupe of actors he deploys in his various projects.

“It’s Tom Hanks. We paid Tom Hanks a frankly appalling amount of money, and then made him imitate Justin Roiland. He was unhappy doing it, we were unhappy with the results, and you’re going to be unhappy with the finished product, but we are committed to this bit.”

You know, I’m a defender of the Marvel Disney+ shows. WandaVision and Loki were genuinely magnificent (I was kind of blown away at how Loki managed to use its genre trappings to have Loki, a character defined by his alienation and isolation, reach out for love and connection...to an alternate version of himself, which

This does seem rather similar to Steelrising, just moved forward a hundred years or so.

There’s another video where she makes bruschetta, which my Italian heritage deeply appreciated.

Always sad to see a great (sorry) show end when it’s still hitting on all cylinders, but like the excerpt from Saloni’s review says, the season three finale definitely had a series finale feel. Moving forward without the Catherine-Peter dynamic would have been difficult, though I’m sure the show would have found a

*Looks at his hater-ass face in the mirror and nods with satisfaction*

There’s also video of Lewis speaking after the publication of the book, being asked about how Oher was doing academically at college, and responding, with a laugh, “He’s on the Dean’s List at Ole Miss, which says a lot about the Dean’s List at Ole Miss.”

Ooh, spicy.

I compared it to Olyphant in Santa Clarita Diet, which felt so wasteful.

Gadot...dynamic, compelling performer....
