I’m already prepared to get unreasonably angry if Coolidge beats Seehorn at the Emmys.

I know that we can never have an article about New York set shows without mentioning this one, but Monica explicitly states the apartment belonged to her grandmother, was rent controlled (which is a real thing) and was probably leased before the West Village was trendy. Let’s also be savvy media consumers and

I’ve been playing Not for Broadcast. I appreciate the creativity of the premise, and the gameplay is stressful in the best way. But I’m not really sure what I’m being graded on or what the standards are for success. Censoring curse words and correcting interference, sure, those are fair enough. But I’ll get done with

I’m not a big fan of Awkwafina is Nora from Queens, but having Hsu play an 80-year-old grandmother and putting her in a bunch of scenes with three or four age appropriate senior actors was a genuinely inspired gag.

As much as I like Aubrey Plaza, I thought was miscast in that role, whatever White’s thought process there was. The problem isn’t that the character is a normie, it’s that the character is really boring when she’s not really unpleasant. And that’s a legitimate character type, but the result is that the character

It is content of which its final state you see it as in the game as was assisted, not wholly created, by services built on what many refer to as “AI” that Cyan staff made use of.

I was really excited for the new adaptation of The Stand, and even when some stuff started trickling out that made me more skeptical, I still figured, “Well, it can’t be worse than the 90's mini-series.” And I don’t know if it did end up worse than that, but man, it was a hell of a lot closer than it had any right to

This is your worst take ever, Evil Lincoln.

Without knowing any of the details, I kind of suspect the other folks in that list did most of the curatorial work, and Gadsby’s job was mostly to write the...jokes and put their name on it in order to garner attention.

The mistake here seems to be that the original movie had three fun, talented, charismatic actors in the lead roles, and the remake has Jack Harlow.

In its third-to-last episode ever, Succession’s central heirs ran more rampant than ever, essentially deciding an election in favor of Jeryd Mencken, a far-right candidate whose thinly-veiled fascist beliefs weren’t enough to dissuade Kendall (Jeremy Strong) and Roman (Kieran Culkin) from handing him the keys to the

I’m not sure why Manuel hated the Coach Beard press conference bit so much. It was funny. And it was in character — it’s not at all impossible to imagine Beard having opinions on classic rock guitarists that are both weird and weirdly intense.

Look, I just want to wield a double-bladed purple lightsaber. I am a man of simple tastes.

My experience with Civ VI is that I’d have a lot of fun building things up, I’d fight one or two big wars to establish a secure empire, establish myself in the lead and then I’d spend, I don’t know, the last 100-150 turns just kind of killing time and idly moving units around the map until I finished off my inevitable

Yeah, that’s the very simple reason the Lisa from Temecula sketch wasn’t as funny this time -- Pedro Pascal broke completely and de Armas mostly kept it together. Not much more complicated than that.

There’s got to be another shoe to drop with Zava, right? As it stands, the whole “leaves a mountain of smoking wreckage in his wake” thing doesn’t really accord with what we saw — he was kind of insufferable, but not actively malicious, and was, all in all, a net positive to the team. Just having him leave after not

“Dammit, Britta, how did you end up working for the Nazis?”

Hey, Hughes, I just want to say that I really appreciate how great a job you’re doing with your gaming pieces. I know a lot has gone down at this site over the last couple years, but your gaming stories are always thoughtful, fair, well-reasoned and well-written. Thanks for keeping the torch burning.

I’d rank Elden Ring first, but Bloodborne’s a strong #2. I like the aesthetic, and while basically all From stories are just handwave-y nonsense and portentous speechifying, I respect Bloodborne for being willing to go absolutely batshit crazy with its narrative.

I don’t know how often you can go back to this well, but I’d be up for a lot more of Rebecca dealing with a new age psychic. It’s pretty wonderful comedy.
