Stockholm syndrome or incredibly nieve?
“We’ve been here at the Trump, we’ve been here for years,” Clary says. “We move freely, we come and go freely, we actually just stepped out this morning and nobody said anything to us, no one stopped us, no one harassed us or anything like that.”
This is the correct headline. “White woman convicted of crime she obviously committed. Demands to see manager.”
I think she would be a terrible, narcissistic mother, the minute her kid was anything more independent than an infant. I really have no sympathy for her character at all.
Amber is hard to get behind because she’s one of those people who can talk the talk about mental illness and her struggles, but there doesn’t seem to ever be a fundamental change in her behavior. She may have stopped the drug use but she’s still quick to anger, defensive, aggressive, rude and unwilling to accept…
Every time I read an anti vaxxer story, I remember that my great great grandfather had five children die from diphtheria. I also remember that over twenty years before the vaccine was introduced to the general public, his last daughter was in the throes of diphtheria. The doctor rushed to NYC and obtained an…
“Hey, you notice what you don’t see nowadays? A ton of people with polio!”
It wasn’t that long ago that it was impossible if not very hard for women to go to medical school, so most medical fields have long been dominated by men and probably doesn’t seem strange at all within the field. Outside of the field though, it does feel a little skeevy.

Exactly! You’d be better off re-branding celery sticks as “ranch shovels.”
It’s probably just a good rule of thumb to never eat a “food” labeled in quotes.
100% agree. I get being cynical about big corporations adopting woke-ness as a means to sell products, but I think it’s still a big deal and legitimately great when they make the deliberate choice to center ad campaigns around groups who have been shunned and ignored. Especially when there are still so many companies…
I think it’s about time we see more trans acceptance in media—in ads, tv shows, film, everything. This was so sincere and touching that it kinda got me, I have to be honest.
I don’t care if it’s a publicity grub, big companies do those all the time and have zero obligation to also make them socially aware. Not sure if this will actually be an ad shown on TV or just a web exclusive, but this may very well be the first depiction of a trans man that Joe Everyday has ever seen. That is huge.
I want to go there and gently stroke everything*, while discreetly looking at the price tags.
I remember back when magazines were describing a young Johansson as being the new Elizabeth Taylor. Looks like that’s tracking.

I don’t know what this says about me but, goddamn, I loved Jersey Shore.
