Hah, words to live by! I shall eat all the cookies. :)
I also like the fact that she owns up to the fact that she's had it easy, at least in some aspects of her life. She's not just spouting "oh woe is me" when she knows very well that she has definite advantages.
Oh my god yes, I love Bioré strips! I'm almost happy that they don't work super well (at least not for me) at getting rid of my blackheads for any significant length of time because it means I can use them more often.
Yeah, I can't wrap my mind around drinking something that has sweat in the name. Now a gelato dispenser I could for sure go for!
Thanks, that's actually very nice to hear. :)
As an Arab Canadian woman, I've dealt with racism off and on my whole life. I've had people make jokes about "sand n's" and "camel jockeys" with me right in the room. (One time it was even at work, by one of my bosses.) As sad as it is to admit I've sort of learned to shrug it off and ignore it, because if I got angry…
The writer needing to define twerking made me laugh too. Of course, it's not as bad as the writer from Tuscon saying that she needs a year in a convent.
This is my personal favorite: Also, she groped a woman's posterior-without hesitation.
That's a great idea, because I probably wouldn't sleep at all if I watched it at night. Every time I do try to watch something creepy or scary it's fine while the movie / show is on but then later on...whooo, it's not fun.
Ahhh, gotcha. See, gore tends to freak me out less than creepy / eerie stuff does, usually because I know that the gore is fake and can usually laugh at it. Whereas eerie stuff just tends to worm its way into my subconscious and then wake me up at 2 am.
Okay, for those who have watched the series, can you tell me if it's really frightening? I've been super intrigued about the show for a long time but I tend to get easily freaked out (I don't watch horror movies because I know they'll give me nightmares) and I've heard that this show can be intense.
Hahahahaha, there's always a silver lining! I probably wouldn't have gotten freaked out but then I have a cat. Not that I would want to eat his litter ofc, but your treat thing sounds really yummy.
Ahhh, ok, thanks for clarifying. TBH I didn't realize that the state was getting such a bad rap because of one TV show (and to be frank, I maybe watched 1 season of Jersey Shore all told so I'm no "expert"). Actually, I don't know much about NJ in general...though my dad does love to go to Wildwood, heh.
Good lord, he looks better in that mugshot than I've ever looked.
I'm going to ask something and I'm asking it seriously, not to snark or be bitchy or whatnot. Can't it be both? I.E a certain place is not somewhere I'd necessarily want to visit but I can still feel upset / sad for the people who were affected by a disaster? Again, not asking to be snarky, I'm genuinely curious.
Same here. I was actually watching Heathers this week and found myself all wistful and nostalgic for Winona Ryder. More Winona movies, please!
I realize that's what it sounds like, but that's not what I meant. I mean that the way the show portrayed "Jersey Shore folks" (and I use the quotation marks as I am aware that they were stereotypes at best) made it seem unappealing to me. I don't totally loathe them - or anyone else, generally speaking - but Snooki…
I've never been to the Jersey Shore (and after that show of the same name aired, I had no great desire to go) but I can't help feeling so bad. I mean, they finally get the boardwalk reopened and this happens?
