No special plans. Just making roasted salmon and mushroom and bacon risotto for dinner tomorrow, knitting and tidying up the house in the aftermath of a family visit. NYE is overrated.

I feel that way when I visit my inlaws. I think my husband has as little tolerance for them as I do, so he understands that I need to go for a run to put me in a good mood then have a drink before we go over. Fortunately they all live in other states and we stay at hotels when we visit.

At least your in-laws have alcohol. Mine don’t drink at all and if I do I’m instant pariah. Got back yesterday and I’m still hungover/drunk from putting roughly a half gallon of whiskey in my body last night. Good luck, hope you can initiate departure protocols soon!!!

That sounds wonderful. I am going to clean house, take down the Christmas tree, go for a run or two, maybe chop firewood if it doesn’t rain too much, and get mildly drunk every day.

I intended to spend the last week of the year Getting My Shit Together. Cleaning the house, organizing my files, and generally starting fresh. I finally have paid vacation, and it’s “use it or lose it”.

I don’t remote believe the Beyoncé gossip, mostly because I don’t believe Beyoncé ever stoops to full on fighting with her enemies.
